In-Class or Distance Learning Aromatherapy Certification Courses
Living Essentials offers innovative and interactive aromatherapy certification courses to help students meet the stringent requirements of the CFA and the CAOA to become a certified aromatherapist. As well, the student is presented with the most current research information which is updated on a regular basis.
Class size for our aromatherapy certification courses is small which allows for personal interaction with the instructor to address all concerns.
Certification can be achieved by in-class or distance learning. Upon successful completion students are awarded CAHP (CFA) or RA (CAOA) designation.
A. In-Class Aromatherapy Certification Course
IN-CLASS LEARNING EXPERIENCE DURING COVID:

This is a 425+ hour aromatherapy certification course and usually takes students 10 – 12 months to complete. Classes run one day a week for approximately 24 weeks. Topics include:

- Distillation, Quality and Safety
- Methods of Use
- Blending
- Toxicity

- Wound Care
- Pain Management
- Aromatherapy for the Elderly
- Long-term Care and Hospice Palliative Care
- Business Practice
- Product Making
- Stress Management
- Aromatherapy and Other Modalities
- Essential Oil Profiles for upcoming oils – determined at instructor’s discretion
- 30 Documented Case Studies
- Massage – OPTIONAL: Students may become certified to practice aromatherapy with or without the massage component

Upon completion of all of the aromatherapy certification course requirements the student must write the CFA exam for which there is an additional one-time charge.

B. Distance Learning/Correspondence Aromatherapy Certification Course
The correspondence aromatherapy certification course consists of 2 modules which may be purchased separately or together. Requirements and content are identical to the in-class aromatherapy certification course. The modules are designed to promote hands-on learning with activities, review quizzes after each lesson plus assignments.
MODULE 1 – Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology
This is a 15-lesson module covering all systems of the body plus the pertinent pathologies for each system.
COST: $450.00
MODULE 2 – Essential Oils
This is a 21-lesson module with content being identical to that covered in class.
COST: $495.00

C. Bodywork
Students may become certified in aromatherapy with or without the Bodywork component. If including, this is a comprehensive 6-day course.
